The Lumecca IPL targets hyperpigmentation to break it down the darker pigment to create a brighter, more even, pigment free skin.
It’s within the energy of the broad spectrum light that the pigment absorbs, causing it to break down.
Within the first 24-48 hours of the treatment, the pigment will darken and then either mildly shed off or the immunity system will mop this up over the next 10 days-4 weeks.
Rosacea, Redness, Red Veins
The results for veins can be immediate. For the rosacea and redness usually between 3-5 sessions is recommended.
The Lumecca IPL using broad spectrum light pulses which the redness or veins absorb to shut down those capillaries.
This in turn creates a more even, clear, radiant skin appearance.
Within the first 24-48 hours the veins and/or redness will darken or appear grey like.
Skin may mildly shed or the immunity system will mop up the targets redness/veins over the next 10 days- 4 weeks.

Lumecca IPL can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. This often includes the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.
Avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning one month prior to treatment. We would also advise getting a skin check if it has been more than 12 months since your last one.
You will be required to have a consultation and test patch to ensure maximum results. (for existing clients, this is a complimentary 15 minute service. New clients we would suggest our New Client Consultation.)
During treatment there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic sensation.
Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour.
Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone.
After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel which dissipates after a few days.
An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session. Multiple sessions provide even better results. Treatment regime depends on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings.
Usually 3 is enough but depending on the skin may need up to 5.
